Hotel Tilapia - Mwanza

The breakfast was lacking freshness, and it was the same boring fare each day. I expected a complimentary treat for my inconvenience, but apparently that's too much to ask. The curtains barely covered the windows, allowing too much light in. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

We were there for 3 days, everything was perfect, really enjoyed its exceptionally nice location close to the town center from here, the shore of Lake Victoria which offers a great great view, and Tanzania for work. The breakfast was very very good and the main bar was a plus.

The double room was wonderful, had exceptional views. There was outstanding food, the staff was incredibly nice and genuinely friendly.

A perfect spot to unwind after exploring the beauty of the surrounding area!

the breakfast in the restaurant was satisfactory to start your day. the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and in general i greatly enjoyed incredibly comfortable room. location: the hotel was not far from saa nane park, the restaurant and bar, and the shore of lake victoria.

The room was clean and spacious with a great view of the lake. The staff remembered me and were so helpful, especially when I needed a shower during a storm. The food was tasty and the ambiance was perfect for relaxing 😊

Some rooms, especially on the first floor, lack privacy due to thin curtains and old doors. A few housekeeping issues arose, such as someone arriving to clean late in the afternoon, which disrupted our plans.

Staying at the Hotel Tilapia was quite enjoyable. The views of Lake Victoria from my room were fine, especially during sunset. I appreciated the spaciousness of my Standard Single Room. It wasvery comfy and tidy. The staff were helpful. They even arranged a delicious breakfast according to my request. The location made it easy to walk into town for local markets and shops. The breakfast buffet could use a bit of variety to keep things interesting. It felt repetitive after a few days, with the same selection served each morning. The ambiance by the lake during meals was beautiful, but some room curtains could provide better privacy. I enjoyed the unique vibe of the hotel, but a more diverse breakfast menu would enhance the experience further.

The experience of dining by the waterfront was nice, with the Hibachi-a-la-africa meal being an absolute highlight.

The breakfast offered lacked variety, and some items did not seem freshly prepared, which could be improved.

The beautiful setting by Lake Victoria was such a treat for our family, especially during our evening meals. The staff was attentive and the kids enjoyed the fresh salads. A visit to the local CCM Kirumba Stadium, just a short drive away, was a highlight.

In my wife's opinion, the room could use a few more family-friendly amenities.

It was a well-suited match for a short stint in Mwanza with real value for money. I loved indulging in the fresh salads during every meal, knowing they were prepared with care. Make sure to enjoy the lovely views by the water during meals.

I had an amazing 11 nights here, enjoying the fabulous meals and the serene views. The cooking at the teppanyaki grill was a highlight, but the lack of concierge service was disappointing. Would definitely stay again!
